Making Applesauce!

Today the kids made their very own applesauce!  They cut, cooked, and ate it all!  Overall it looks like the majority thought they did a great job!

Thank You Mystery Reader!

Thanks to Zoe's mom for being our very first mystery reader!  We LOVED the marshmallow stories and special treat! :)

Super Scientists in K3!

We were working like a scientist today to observe changes.

The kids investigated what happened when they mixed milk, glue, and food color.

They obviously loved it!

The primary colors mixed together to make secondary colors.

It looked something like this.  When the investigation was complete they documented it in their science notebooks as all good scientists do.

It Was a VERY Busy Day in K3!!

We were so lucky to have Dr. Penny come into our classroom so we could get to know eachother better!

We learned some new poems!

We practiced reading them with our very own whisper phones!

We checked on our pumpkin plants.  It has been 7 days, and they have SPROUTED!

We gave them some water and encouraging words to keep on growing.

Lastly, ZERO the HERO came for a visit and left us some zero shaped cookies!  We counted them up and down, grouped them by 10's, and divided them among the 18 of us.  It was a great treat!

Super Scientists!

We discussed everything that a plant will need to survive including soil, water, air, and sun.

We planted 35 pumpkin seeds.

The kids loved getting their hands in the soil.

Don't forget the water!

Hopefully our thumbs are green!

Every good scientist logs their experiences in their science notebooks.
