Our Royal Class!

Math "Our Way"

In the theme of Cinderella, today we ordered our own "glass slippers" from smallest to largest.  The kids had so much fun looking at each other's socks!  Who knew that could be so fun!

Cinderella

Cinderella herself came to read her story today to kindergarten.  The kids were mesmorized by her sparkly dress and glass slippers.  She even gave each child a "kiss" when her story was over.  We are so lucky to be in kindergarten at CCE!

3 Billy Goats Gruff

We had a terrific day of Friday.  Thanks you so much to Mrs. Allshouse for coming to be our mystery reader.  She even shared some "sweet green grass" with the kids. (green pixie sticks)  I can't wait to see what Monday has in store for us!  Have a great weekend!!!

Three Little Pigs

Today we were so lucky to have Ms. Gilstrap reading the Three Little Pigs as part of our Fairy tale mystery readers.  The kids loved holding her piglets and passing them each time she said the word pig.  I hope that your children are enjoying this half as much as we are!

Little Red Riding Hood

Today we had the special treat of Nurse Pam and her wolf puppet helper Ms. Suzanne, from the office, reading Little Red Riding Hood.  The kids LOVED it!  Little Red Riding Hood even shared a cookie from her basket with each kid.

Today's Mystery Reader

Thanks to Mrs. Hammons, our Challenge teacher, for being our second mystery reader today.  She shared the fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel with all of the kindergarten students.  She had a big name to follow as yesterday we heard from Mr. Choate reading Jack and the Beanstalk.  For the next 2 weeks we will have a different celebrity reader each morning sharing various fairy tales.  I hope that the kids come home and tell you all about them. :)

Valentines Day

Valentines Day was a huge success!  At our party we decorated a cookie, played a game, made a bookmark, and opened our boxes.  As I quote from a child's draft book, "Yesterday we had a party.  Not any LAME party, a Valentines party!"  I love these kids!

The 100 Day of School

We had so much fun on the 100th day of school making a snack with 100 things inside, seeing where 100 steps took us, licking a lollipop 100 times, making a hat with 100 tally marks, writing 100 words, working a 100 piece puzzle, and MORE!  The kids said, "This is the BEST day ever!"
I'm working on creating a new blog for K3!  Stay tuned for new updates!
