Baked Potato Sale!

We had an AMAZING day on Friday with our service learning Baked Potato sale.  The kids truly did ALL of the work.  It began with poster designing to advertise, taking pre-orders and collecting money, creating a grocery list, prepping the food, and at last running the make shift restaurant.  I was so impressed with their excitement and dedication.  Our next step is to visit the book fair at our school next week to purchase books with the profits from the sale.  These books will then be taken to Children's Medical Center for the kids that don't have the luxury of coming to school each day.

Ways To Read In Kindergarten

All of the learners in K3 read EVERY DAY!  Whether they are reading to self, with a partner, listening on the ipad, or reading on the computer we read EVERY day to LEARN.

This was a great day!  Here is just a small sampling of the kids reflections on a day well spent. 

Happy 100 Day of School!

We are having an AMAZING 100 day of school!  The kids look so wonderful in their shirts with 100 items attached.  They are loving comparing them. Today we are making a snack with 100 items inside (and writing the recipe), making a hat with 100 dots (5 groups of 20), a necklace with 100 fruit loops (10 groups of 10), and writing about what we will be like when we are 100 years old.  It is a great day to be at CCE!

We LOVED the stories today!  Did you know that we have had 3 books with a character named Lily? 
These books were special because they have now been read to ALL 3 Wilson girls kindergarten classes!  :)
