Today was a teachers dream when I looked over at free time and saw that these boys CHOSE to read instead of play. :)

Can You Find My Egg?

Today the kids had to write a describing paper about their decorated egg in class. It was great to see some fantastic writers! I will post some pictures tomorrow.:-)

Chick Races!

Yes, you read correctly! Today we experimented to see which chick would be the fastest in a chick race. The striped chick came in first with the yellow one right behind! It was great to see if the kids hypothosis were correct.

Taking Care Of The Babies

Today was K3's turn to take care of the chicks by changing out the bedding, food, and water. The kids were so happy to hold ALL 17 chicks at one time!

Organizing the Chicks!

Today for our science lesson we placed the chick into 4 catagories and recorded it in our science journals using a tree map. Talk about hands on!

Baby Chicks!

Today the kids got to hold a baby chick for the first time. The expressions are priceless. :)
