These kids are working so hard showing what they know in Math.  Check out these 3D shapes, number representations, and coin recognition.  You can help by reinforcing this at home. 

RED House Challenge Based Learning Launch!

What a great launch to our third CBL in the Red House.  The kids worked together and learned that to solve this big problem they could not do it alone, but rather had to collaborate and contribute to make it happen.  It was a great success.

Engineers In Action

Today the kids had to construct an igloo out of sugar cubes that would withhold the force of the wind.  They were TRUE engineers in that they failed many times before learning what strategies worked better than others.  The only thing that would have made the day better would have been if I allowed them to eat the igloos as well.  Parents, you are welcome.  😄
