Now We're Cooking In KRED!

We had so much fun today baking cookies after reading the story If You Give A Mouse A Cookie! Take a look at these little bakers in action! They started the day graphing who likes chocolate chip or M&M cookies better, counting out exactly 10 of their favorite to add to their cookie, and ended the day either reflecting on their baking opportunities or writing and sharing the recipe on their Seesaw account.  It was a great learning day!

LEEder of the WEEK!!

Eliana is our very first LEEder of the week!  She has been an excellent role model for everyone in our class.  Because she is our first LEEder, she is being invited to ride on the RJLEE float in the homecoming parade on Wednesday.  Way to GO Eliana!!

Dallas Fire Department

Today we were so lucky to meet some REAL LIFE SUPERHEROS from the Dallas Fore Department.  They told us about their job, showed us their tools, and even let us go inside their truck!  It was a GREAT day!

Geologists Back In Action

Today we worked with RED2 to create 3 types of rock.  Ask your child about sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous rocks and how they are formed! 

Reaping What We Sow

Our hard work payed off this week as we harvested our strawberry plants!  We took them to the cafeteria where they were served in the lunch line.  I hope our cucumbers are just as successful!

I was SO PROUD of our RED House learners this Saturday as they educated the community on how our school helps the Earth.  It was GREAT to see them share their learning and more importantly BEAM WITH PRIDE because of a job well done.  GREAT JOB RED HOUSE!

Outdoor Learning

Kids worked today on getting the soil in our garden ready for planting.  They educated the school on what plants need with sidewalk chalk, created a video showcasing signs of spring, and even took inventory on the schoolyard trees.  What a great day of learning!

RED House Challenge Based Learning Launch!

What a great launch to our third CBL in the Red House.  The kids worked together and learned that to solve this big problem they could not do it alone, but rather had to collaborate and contribute to make it happen.  It was a great success.

Engineers In Action

Today the kids had to construct an igloo out of sugar cubes that would withhold the force of the wind.  They were TRUE engineers in that they failed many times before learning what strategies worked better than others.  The only thing that would have made the day better would have been if I allowed them to eat the igloos as well.  Parents, you are welcome.  😄
