We are going BATTY in Kindergarten!

The kids are doing a great job learning about bats!  We are reading both fiction and non-fiction bat books and learning great information along the way.  Look at some of this amazing work! 

We compared birds and bats in our science journals. 

We have an ongoing What I Know, What I  Learned, and What a Wonder board going on. 

These sock bats hanging upside down in the hallway are a crowd favorite.

We loved reading about Ferdinand and Marley.  It was so sweet knowing that Ferdinand was a favorite when Lauren's dad was a boy!  :)

We Are Dinosaur Experts!

We made some really cool dinosaurs today and researched all about them!  These kids are  amazing!

Hi-Tech Hi-Touch

Thank you to our fantastic PTO for bringing in this hands on science program to our classroom!  Today the kids worked as Paleontologists to excavate a fossil, make a fossil, manipulate real fossils, and even dig for some to take home.  The kids were mesmerized with Science Stan and his box of treasures. 

Pick, Pick, Pick BRUSH!  That is the proper excavating technique.

Computer Genius'!

Today we visited the computer lab.  Did you know that we can create a word document, insert a clip art picture, print, and even save our work?  Wow!  We really are smart!  Maybe our parents will let us try at home too!

The Fire Clowns Came Today!

I hope that your child will come home ready to make a plan in case of a fire.  Today they learned about finding a meeting spot, making a secret code word, exit strategies, helmet safety, and the difference between tools versus toys.  It was all done with laughter!  We love the Coppell Fire Department.

Field Trip FUN!

We had so much fun at the Ft. Worth Museum of Science and History!  Thank you SO much to the parents that stepped up to the plate.  We couldn't do it without YOU!
